How did two weeks go by and I didn't even notice? So much has happened in such a short period of time I don't even know how. I have learned so much, not just in school but about myself and what I like and want. I love all of these days. Who can tell me what tense that is in? Don't even get me started! I just about had a mental breakdown in class today because I was so confused. -Paul has been to work.- Paul had worked.- Paul will be working- OY VEY!! I can use the English language properly but have no idea what is what or why. Don’t ask or I will just growl at you like I am Mel Gibson.
A typical day starts with the alarm going off around 6:30am, and then I hit snooze every 7 minutes about 5 times. Eventually I roll out of bed and pull it together enough to get my gym stuff, school binder and lunch all packed and I head out the door for the local YMCA only 2 tram stops away. No better way to start the morning than with a quick morning working out and an awkward shower with a stranger.

A few more tram stops and I am at school, in a class room no bigger than my apartment bedroom and the temperature of Scottsdale on a summer day. In the morning we take notes and I usually have no idea what we are talking about. In the afternoon we plan our lessons for class at 4pm. There are two classes, advance and intermediate. I enjoy teaching both but prefer the intermediate class because they are a bunch of sweet old women with names like Ina and Olga. At night we either come back to the apartment and Skype family or go to a pub and have a glass of wine/beer or 4. Yes, I am still rocking a beer gut.
The nice thing about having an apartment here is the kitchen. I have been making soup like it is my job. Coconut curry red lentil soup, that only lasted a day and a half. But we have had the same pot of vegetable with wild rice sitting in the fridge for like 4 days, it is the never ending pot of soup I swear. I will be eating it for lunch today, AGAIN.

Having a roommate is the best thing ever, either that or I have the best roommate ever. She is teaching me a lot. Christine is a 22 year old Wagner College graduate from New Jersey. However she has been living in New York for the last few years doing internships and such. Day 1 hour 1 we already knew eachothers life stories. Christine is now my personal shopper/ makeup artist/ therapist... ahhh the perks. Oh and she looks like Gwyneth Paltro, but better.
Christine and I also have another part time roommate, Kelsey. She is our classmate from San Diego. On the weekends she stays over and sleeps in one of our 8 beds. I love her. She is Jessica Simpson’s smart twin and they were separated at birth. We have had way too much fun with her. She says –Just Kidding- after almost every joke and I think it is the

best thing ever. So needless to say, saying just kidding after almost everything has been picked up and we say it all too often. We are the 3 immature American girls on the tram cracking each other up about the dumbest stuff. Everyone probably thinks we are drunk. Good thing they can’t understand us or they would think we are 12 and drunk. I think this class has turned me into a 7th grade student again.
When we aren’t pulling our hair out going insane with past perfect continuous active nonsense we are usually either drinking cheap wine on my bed gossiping about boys or out at a pub dancing to the beat of our own drum. However last night you would have found us dumping pots of water in the toilet to manually flush, skypeing JK -my brother in law/ master plumber- trying to figure out how to fix our plastic euro potty. What a disaster, I was elbow deep in potty water.. ok not really because there wasn’t any water but still.
Time to make my lunch for school and wake up sleeping beauty. Stay tuned, up next is HALLOWEEN -Sandy from Grease, The Absinthe Fairy and Where’s Waldo are all making appearances.
YEAH! a new Blog. I like how you worked in Mel Gibson and "You kicked my dog". Where is the schtick about loving cheese???? Just Kidding.
